I have recently found a certificate of deposit for FirstMutual Savings Association! I don’t remember getting any information about this certificate. It was a thirty year certificate due in 2013. Any information would be appreciated.
My mother recently passed away and I found a statement from 1982 with my name on an account my grandparents set up. Is it possible that the money is still in an account somewhere? The bank has closed. Do you know what name First Mutual Savings Association of Florida operates under now? Is it worth contacting them? The savings account has not been touched since 1982 if it exists. It is a few thousand dollars.
